Pricing guide

Kitchen facelift pricing: what actually drives the cost.

A facelift can be dramatically less involved than a full kitchen renovation, but the right number depends on door count, panels, finishes, benchtops, site geometry and trades.
Indicative planning ranges

Think in scopes, not a single “per kitchen” price.

These figures are planning guides only, not quotations. We intentionally show broad ranges because two kitchens with the same number of doors can have very different panels, joins, finishes and site conditions.

Fronts-focused refresh

$4k–$9k

Indicative only

  • New doors & drawer fronts
  • Selected panels/kickboards
  • New handles
  • Existing benchtop retained

Larger / premium scope

$15k+

Indicative only

  • Larger kitchen footprint
  • Premium surfaces
  • Multiple panels & features
  • Complex site conditions

These ranges are deliberately broad. Final pricing depends on site measure, selected materials, hardware, access, existing cabinetry and the exact scope of work.

What moves the number most?

1. Number and type of fronts

A kitchen with 20 simple flat doors is different from one with 35 fronts, pantry doors, integrated panels and multiple drawer stacks.

2. End panels and exposed surfaces

These often determine whether the new finish reads as complete or patched together.

3. Benchtop material and geometry

Material, length, joins, cut-outs, waterfalls, overhangs and access can all change fabrication and installation cost.

4. Trades

Plumbing, electrical, gas and splashback work may require other trades depending on the scope.

5. Existing condition

Swollen cabinets, damaged hinges, out-of-level carcasses or previous DIY work can create remediation that is impossible to price from a simple door count.
